Teaching Artist Residency | NOV 2022 - JUNE 2023

Warli Art is an indigenous art form originally produced by tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range in politically defined “Maharashtra, India.” The work historically was done on red mud walls, applied with a bamboo stick and rice water as the paint medium. Students were provided a tutorial on basic body form making, architectural visualization, and flora & fauna and were tasked with drawing their community in this style.
