Shift

Print | 2023

This is the AY 21/22 volume of Discipline, the Architecture Journal for Arizona State University (ASU), produced entirely by students.

This issue of Discipline asks how the collective architectural world has responded to a shift in contemporary thinking and approaches towards design. Central questions are:

How have we re-imagined our space? How have we adapted to a permanent shift? What does it mean to be an architectural student today?

Highlights in this year's volume include: Interviews with Representative Christian Solorio, Institute Professor Wanda Dalla Costa, and the Design Justice Initiative student organization; Essays from Dr. Rashad Shabazz and Selina Martinez, project submissions focused on healing, community engagement, biomimicry, and more.
